She has been as a journalist in Europe and Canada for most of her adult life and while a columnist for the Toronto Sun, created the very first newspaper column written in Canada by a woman about sex and relationships.
This was her very personal Intimacies column and the outspoken, honest, insightful commentary on modern sex and relationships made it one of the most popular reads in the paper and on the internet. She also co-wrote an equally popular column, S&M (Sex and Money) which was a unique combination of two hot subjects. Her advice column, Dear Val, gave readers experienced, realistic and honest answers to their love, sex and relationships problems.

Her latest book is available in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K., in bookstores and worldwide on a
mazon.com.

Valerie lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and has a disabled daughter.
She is currently single and enthusiastically exploring the joys (and many hazards!) of the contemporary dating world but, most of all, loves to help men and women enjoy and understand the single life, no matter what their age.
